We are a new and independent travel company formed by experienced travelers and guides.
Our ventures have taken us to a number of different countries in the world where we have lived, worked, and trekked, both for fun and professionally.
These adventures have allowed us to enjoy (or not!) the different forms of transportation available, including small group adventure tours, public transportation, long hikes and bikes and the self-driven road trip. They each have their advantages and disadvantages. Ultimately we want the freedom and flexibility to go where we want when we want. But at the same time we want to learn about where we are, know that we are relatively safe, travel on a budget, understand our impact on our surroundings, meet new people, and of course have lots of fun!
BrasilTrek incorporates all the aspects of travel we find positive
- We travel overland using 15 passenger vans and limit our groups to a maximum of 13 passengers for your comfort.
- We make decisions together, which allows us some flexibility with our trips.
- We use local guides in the national parks to encourage our learning of the environment and to enhance the eco-tourism economy.
- We camp whenever possible to lower costs and to get close to the action.
- We cook together which is hugely economical and gives us the option to splash out now and again on meals out and the odd night in a hotel.
- We incorporate soft adventure outdoor activities which we think are enjoyable (e.g. hiking, biking, hang-gliding, snorkeling, surfing, rafting, etc.)
- We will round off our days with some traditional Brasilian food, music, and dance or just a couple of beers.

There are many beautiful places in the world, and all would agree that Brasil is definitely one of them; but what sets this country apart is its unique pulse and its joyous heartbeat even amongst the toughest conditions. That is why on all our trips we will strive to show you as many facets of Brasil as we can. We will not only see the beauty in its land, history and culture, but also in the singular spirit that inhabits Brasilians.
Our first trip, the Soul of Brasil, as the name implies, is built around this vision. The views will be stunning, the adventures will be epic, the fun constant and the activities exhilarating.
